Hello

I'm Jordan Roeschlein, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Glass House Therapy. My approach to therapy is tailored to meet your individual and family needs. I do not believe in therapy being a one-size-fits-all type of service. You are unique, your time in therapy should be too. Throughout our time together, we explore every part of you from an individual, family, cultural and systems lens. I want your experience in therapy to be collaborative; you are the expert on you. My role is to help you understand how all pieces of you and your surroundings impact your daily functioning, in both positive and negative ways, and provide you with tools to help make the changes you want to see.

I have an eclectic approach and pull from a variety of theoretical orientations to include psychodynamic, family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, TF-CBT, client-centered and solutions-focused. I am also a Certified Mindfulness Practitioner, which strongly supports issues of anxiety, depression, anger, trauma and relationships. I value authenticity, self-love, humor and accountability, which are tenets in my practice.

I have been practicing therapy since 2011. My foundation as a clinician was paved in the non-profit sector supporting families primarily led by single mothers and female caregivers and their children as they navigate high acuity issues such as suicidality, psychiatric hospitalizations, trauma, children transitioning home from other placements, substance use and many other challenges. I continue to work in this sector where I provide clinical supervision for associate level therapists working towards licensure.

My Story

I am a San Diego native and grew up in Encinitas. I attended San Diego State University where I graduated with a BA in Communications. In 2012, I obtained my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. During the time I've been in the mental health field, I have worked with people from ages 3 to 75 through a broad range of services including individual therapy, parent coaching, family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention and case management.

There's a pattern of unique challenges faced by women. Perfectionism, feeling overstimulated, being spread too thin, pressure to be everything, everywhere, all the time. This work is important to me because I've been there and to be honest, I still visit from time to time. I've struggled in my own marriage, dealt with anxiety, wrestled with the challenges of motherhood, infertility and balancing a career and have felt disconnected from myself. Finding ways to navigate my own challenges has not only provided me with more peace, but it has given me the opportunity to strengthen my relationships and live a life I enjoy.

Connection fills my cup. My spare time is spent with my husband, our toddler, dog, friends and family. I love taking my kid to nearby parks and the zoo. And when I have the time, I'm often traveling, doing a DIY project or enjoying live music.
